Sapphire micro fue as the name implies is one of the latest and most advanced hair transplant techniques which is performed using a tool known as the sapphire. This tool is used by highly skilled hair transplant surgeons to deliver a large volume of natural hair grafts. Using this tool makes the procedure a minimally invasive procedure, thus reducing risks. The sapphire tool is a pen-like device used for implanting hair into the receding hairline region where hair loss occurs. It gets its name from the sapphire blade attached to the pen. The grafts are loaded into it so that it can be used to implant the grafts into the recipient area with direct and precise angulation and depth. This can be time intensive because the grafts are loaded and implanted individually. But the precision helps prevent damages to the surrounding hair follicles.
A patient eligibility for sapphire micro fue transplantation is high if the donor region from where hair grafts can be extracted is DHT resistant. Also the area should have a high rate of hair growth. This guarantees the natural hair regrowth and survival for the transplanted grafts

An eligible candidate can have a second sapphire micro fue transplant. While it can be a lifetime treatment, a patient can undergo 2-3 hair transplants in a lifetime. Our experience is that some patients come to us for a second transplant as a correction on a poorly performed procedure.
